Why Walk?
The Pacific Northwest is one of the most stunningly beautiful regions of the world, and Seattle, is a fascinating and dynamic city.
The city of Seattle is made up of many urban villages, and most of them are quite lovely to walk through. We strongly feel that walking tours are the best way to truely get to know a place.
Walking is slow. It’s harder to miss the sites and details of a neighborhood while walking.
Walking is simple - it doesn’t require any equipment aside from the shoes on your feet.
Walking is free. And of course, walking is great for the environment, since walking doesn’t use any gas.
Our Story
James is the owner and tour guide of Wander Northwest Walking Tours. He’s lived in Seattle for over a decade and a half. With a background in the ceramic arts and education, he is an enthusiastic fan of Seattle and well suited to show you around!
James & his partner spent three years touring the world on their bicycles.
They would visit new cities and have a great time on walking tours.
Upon returning to Seattle, James realized what an amazing place the Northwest is.
He wanted to offer something like what he experienced in other cities and take the opportunity to share our love of his city and the Northwest with others.
Thus - Wander Northwest Walking Tours!
“This tour did not disappoint! There was a variety of art and cultural institutions that we learned about and we visited places that would have been hard to find on my own.”
